All of the seats in rows A to P enjoy an excellent, unrestricted forward view with no seat further than 22 metres from the stage. Row AA is generally reserved for wheelchair users and their companions. Rows Q, R, S, T, U and W are balcony seats.
Note: When demand for seats is high, up to three additional rows of seating (rows AA to CC) will be added in front of row A. These will not usually be available until all other seating is sold.

Seating up to 556, conference style, the auditorium has full staging and lighting facilities, raked seating, a built in public address system and a sound loop for hearing impaired attenders. With catering to suit all requirements, the venue offers a business-like and professional environment, flexible in accommodating a large range in attendance numbers from 50 upwards.
The theatre gallery-bar can be used as a small meeting area (up to 20 people), an exhibition space, as a break-out room or for catering/refreshments.

Coleg Powys Conference Facilities
Our venue shares buildings with Coleg Powys, the further education college for Powys. The college has a suite of five conference/meeting rooms available accommodating between 10 and 70 people. These are located in the same building, about 100 metres from the theatre facilities. These facilities can be used as additional rooms for events taking place at Hafren
Together with the in-house catering service at Coleg Powys, a full catering service is available from tea and coffee, a range of buffet options, through to a full sit down meal. The venue bar can also be opened if required.
As a working, professional theatre, there are three fully trained technicians on-site who will are available to work with hirers of the facilities in arranging the optimum sound, lighting and presentation of events. Throughout events in the auditorium, and other events where applicable, at least one technician will remain on duty to ensure its smooth running.
Audio Visual Equipment
There is a comprehensive range of business equipment available for use to support events.
Hafren has a large free car park immediately adjacent, and is well signposted through Newtown. It enjoys direct access from the A489 trunk road and is just 3 miles off the A470 North-South Wales road, making it speedily accessible from all parts of Wales, plus the English Midlands and North West.
Facilities for visitors with a disability
The venue has level access from the car park via automatic doors. All facilities are located on the ground floor with no steps or ramps. Reserved parking spaces next to the entrance are available for Orange Badge holders. The theatre has a dedicated toilet for disabled visitors, and signage for those with sight impairment. A loop system is installed in the main auditorium.
